Privacy Policy

Last updated September 2026

Your trust matters. This policy explains what information STAS collects, how we use it, and the choices you have — written in plain language, not legalese.

Information we collect

We collect the information you provide when you create an account (name, email, grade level) and the content you generate while using STAS — questions you ask, decks you create, and study activity. We also collect basic usage and device data to keep the service reliable and secure.

How we use your information

We use your data to power STAS's features, personalize your study experience, improve our AI quality, and keep your account safe. We do not sell your personal information, and we never use student content for advertising.

AI and your content

When you ask STAS a question, your prompt is sent to our AI providers solely to generate a response. We apply safeguards to reduce the sharing of unnecessary personal details and retain conversation history only to provide you with your own study record.

Students under 18

STAS is built for students, including minors. Where required, we rely on school or parental consent and provide additional protections for younger users. Parents and schools may request access to or deletion of a student's data.

Your choices

You can view, export, or delete your data at any time from your account settings, or by contacting us at privacy@yourstas.com. You may also opt out of non-essential communications.
